Shortly after North Carolina’s decision to make Hubert Davis the next men’s basketball coach at the university, Bubba Cunningham added that the new contract between the two parties would start at five years. That’s the standard.
However, one week later, we now have the full details. Davis’ contract is, in fact, for five years; there’s a base salary of $400,000. The total value of the contract will start at $1,000,000 and increase annually.
Of course, there are several bonuses and incentives baked into the contract as well.
