Freshman guard Jalek Felton withdraws from North Carolina

Freshman point guard Jalek Felton has withdrawn for North Carolina, according to his attorney. This comes after Felton was suspended from the university back on January 30. Neither Felton nor the university have specified the cause of the suspension.

The announcement was made by Kerry Sutton, Felton’s lawyer, on her Twitter page.

Sutton also made a statement that was posted by the News and Observer’s Andrew Carter:

Felton played just 213 minutes for UNC this season; the 6-foot-3 freshman averaged 2.9 points and 1.6 assists.
