Throwback Thursday: Looking back at the class of 2007

With the players from the 2015 recruiting class getting ready to start their college careers, we decided to take a look back at past ACC recruiting classes. Each team’s class is highlighted with a headliner, or top-rated prospect, and a lower-rated prospect who was considered a diamond in the rough. All rankings are based off of Rivals.com star ratings.

This week, we look at the class of 2007.

Boston College

Headliner: Corey Eason, DE, 4-star

Eason left the Boston College program after the 2007 season and transferred to UMass. He never made an impact at the college level.

Diamond in the rough: Anthony Castonzo, OL, 2-star

Castonzo became the first true freshman to start on a Boston College offensive line in 10 years. He set the record for career starts at Boston College with 54 straight games. Castonzo was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts.
