Syracuse athletic director Mark Coyle is leaving to accept a position at Minnesota, the school announced Wednesday.
Coyle was hired by Syracuse in June 2015 after serving as Boise State’s athletic director for more than three years. Before arriving in Boise, he worked in Kentucky’s athletic department, and prior to his time in Lexington, he was the Associate Athletic Director of External Relations for Minnesota.
While at Syracuse, Coyle hired football coach Dino Babers.
Minnesota athletic director Norwood Teague resigned last August after facing complaints of sexual harrassment.
