13. Garrett Shrader, Syracuse
The former Mississippi State quarterback, who threw for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019, emerged as QB1 for Syracuse in his debut season (2021) in Western New York, above Tommy Devito (now at Illinois). During the 2021 season, Shrader completed 52.6 percent of his passes for 1,445 yards and nine touchdowns, with four interceptions.
Matched with All-ACC running back Sean Tucker, Shrader showed off some wheels out of the backfield, too. Shrader ranked second in the ACC with 14 rushing touchdowns, while averaging 4.51 yards per carry and rushing for 781 yards. Shrader, who posted 35 carries of 10+ yards, was one of four ACC quarterbacks to record 5+ passing touchdowns and 10+ rushing touchdowns.
