Miami suspends junior guard for three games

 

University of Miami junior guard Rashad Muhammad has been suspended for the first three games of the basketball season for a violation of team rules, the school announced Tuesday.

Muhammad will sit out games against Western Carolina (11/11), at North Florida (11/16) and vs. Penn (11/19), then will be available to play against Stanford (11/24) in the first round of the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Fla.

Miami opens the season this Friday against Western Carolina University. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at the Watsco Center.
