Miami looking to hit recruiting jackpot, gunning for players committed elsewhere

Miami’s recruiting needs are fairly clear when watching the team play, and even more clear when looking at the roster.

Not only do the Hurricanes have dire needs at offensive line — a major reason UM struggled in its four-game losing streak last month — the lack of depth at receiver and in the secondary will become more apparent once top players in those position groups graduate after this season. Additionally, Miami just doesn’t have enough scholarship players to compete with top-tier teams, and a full class that addresses all positions is a must for Mark Richt.

That’s a good thing for Richt, who can sell playing time to recruits at nearly every position.
