Hillside High School in Durham, North Carolina has a long legacy of producing ACC-caliber offensive playmakers. In the past decade alone, the Hornets have produced, among others, wide receiver/running back Greg Little, who played at North Carolina and in the NFL, as well as running back Desmond Scott, who played at Duke, dual-threat quarterback Vad Lee, who played at Georgia Tech before transferring to James Madison, and running back Khris Francis, who currently is sitting out at UNC after suffering a major knee injury last November.
Hillside’s next elite offensive talent may be Jamal Elliott, a 5-10, 175-pound sophomore. Elliott burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2014, producing over 1,450 all-purpose yards, including over 1,200 rushing yards, and 15 total touchdowns.
