The question seems far less than urgent — almost silly — when you see Jim Larranaga work.
He’s got the big, booming voice, the energy and the drive of a coach many years younger. His program is recruiting at the highest level Miami basketball has ever seen and has been to two Sweet 16s in a four-year stretch. It doesn’t seem like the Hurricanes will have to wait much longer for their next trip there.
But Larranaga is 67, and the occasion of his 600th career win brings us to that question: How much longer is he going to be doing this?
