Senior wide receiver and captain Charlie Callinan will be out for an extended period of time with a foot injury, Boston College head coach Steve Addazio announced on Saturday. Callinan becomes the third player with over 30 career games played to be out for an extended period of time this season for the Eagles.
The New Jersey native finished with his best performance of his career Sept. 16 vs. Notre Dame, totaling a career-high seven receptions for a personal-best 82 yards and a career-high two touchdowns.
For his career, Callinan leads BC with 41 games played and 31 career starts.
Senior captain and center Jon Baker has already been lost for the year due to a knee injury and senior linebacker Connor Strachan is out indefinitely with a knee injury. Combined, Callinan, Baker and Strachan have played in 116 career games with 78 starts.
