During his time at Memphis, Josh Pastner routinely brought in top recruiting classes. During his time with Georgia Tech, however, that’s proven to be unattainable. On Tuesday night, though, Georgia Tech did add its first 2020 commitment: 3-star power forward Jordan Meka.
The 6-foot-9 Meka, who plays prep basketball for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, is an in-state recruiting win — Pastner’s first in over two years.

Rated as the No. 198 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting class, Meka also had offers from Georgia and Mississippi State. Meka looks like a prospect that could feature into Georgia Tech’s defense-first program.
