This will lead to a little bit of ACC basketball history. For the first time since 1990, the ACC Tournament final won’t have a team from North Carolina in it. That’s a long time ago. In fact, it predates Mike Krzyzewski’s first national title at Duke.

In the 1990 final, which took place in Charlotte, Georgia Tech defeated Virginia; Brian Oliver was named the tournament MVP.
