Less than two months after Duke offered a scholarship, 4-star shooting guard Jaden Schutt has committed to the Blue Devils.
Schutt is a 2022 prospect and a borderline top-100 prospect in the class. A native of Illinois Schutt picked Duke over Michigan State, Louisville, Florida, Creighton, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio State. Of course, Jon Scheyer is a Chicagoland product as well.

Schutt took an official visit to Duke last weekend.
With a reputation as a shooter, Schutt averaged 26.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.6 steals per game during the 2020-21 season for Yorkville Christian. According to Max Preps, Schutt has made 40.4 percent of his career 3-point attempts.
Schutt joins what is shaping up to be a very strong 2022 recruiting class for Duke, the first with Scheyer as the head coaching in waiting. Earlier this summer, the Blue Devils picked up commitments from two top-15 prospects: 5-star small forward Dariq Whitehead and 5-star center Kyle Filipowski.
