Saturday’s top 25 matchup between Duke and Florida State has been postponed.
Earlier in the evening on Friday (Jan. 1), it was announced that Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski wouldn’t coach in the game, due to coming in contact with someone that tested positive for COVID-19. This person wasn’t a member of Duke’s travel party.
Coach K didn’t travel with the team to Tallahassee.
However, not too long after that news hit, the game was officially postponed. There was a positive COVID-19 case within the Florida State state program.

Duke is already in Tallahassee and will flying back tomorrow.

Duke-FSU is one of two ACC men’s basketball games set for Jan. 2 that’s been postponed. Virginia-Virginia Tech, another top 25 showdown, was also postponed. This was triggered by a positive COVID-19 test by a Virginia basketball staff member — along with subsequent quarantining and contact tracing. Twice within the last four weeks UVA been forced to halt program activities due to to COVID concerns.
