Report: Frank Jackson to stay in the NBA Draft

Duke freshman Frank Jackson will stay in the NBA Draft, according to The Vertical.

Jackson put his name in the draft last month but initially did not hire an agent. He averaged 10.9 points per game for the Blue Devils this past season, shooting 39.5 percent form three-point range.

The Utah native saw immediate playing time for the Blue Devils and averaged 24.9 minutes per game through the season. He played point guard for Mike Krzyzewski’s squad late in the 2016-17 campaign, leading the team to an ACC Tournament title.

While Jackson’s decision will have an obvious impact on Duke’s 2017-18 roster, it’s also significant for the program’s recruiting. Krzyzewski and his staff continue to pursue 5-star point guard Trevon Duval, and Jackson’s departure could create more available minutes for the 2017 standout.
