According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Brad Brownell will hire College of Charleston assistant Dick Bender to replace Richie Riley on Clemson’s staff.

Bender, who coached under former Clemson assistant Earl Grant the last two seasons with the Cougars, served as director of basketball operations with the Tigers from 2010-15. He was an assistant on DePauw University’s staff from 1987-91, coinciding with Brownell’s playing career there.
Bender has also made stops at Radford and Indiana State during his career.
The hiring of Bender completes Clemson’s staff following the departure of Richie Riley, who left the Tigers last month to become the head coach at Nicholls State.
