Clemson managed to eke out a win and avoid disaster on Saturday against North Carolina. The victory preserved the team’s undefeated season and help keep College Football Playoff hopes alive. However, the Tigers did take a little tumble in this week’s AP Top 25 poll — going from No. 1 to No. 2. Now 5-0, Wake Forest also landed in the poll, which gives the ACC three teams in the AP Top 25 for the first time this season.
- No. 2 Clemson
- No. 22 Wake Forest
- No. 23 Virginia
POLL ALERT: Alabama jumps to No. 1 in AP Top 25 presented by @askRegions; Clemson, Georgia, Ohio St, LSU round out top five. No. 24 SMU ranked for first time since 1986.
