Eagles players insist that Steve Addazio is the right man for the BC job

Boston College’s regular season ended on Saturday with a 17-14 win over Wake Forest. The victory qualified the Eagles for bowl eligibility with six wins, their third postseason game under head coach Steve Addazio.

Addazio’s future very much remained murky prior to the game. The team’s progress is seemingly tainted by four blowout losses and back-to-back years as one of the worst offenses in the country.

The Boston College head coach has been answering questions throughout the season about his future. He’s taken his complaints on fan negativity to social media, and he’s been outspoken about his disdain for that element of the fanbase.

With the battle lines clearly drawn, there’s seemingly been a group of people forgotten and lost in the shuffle — the players. This week, in the wake of the Eagles clinching of bowl eligibility, some of those players spoke out.
