For many ACC programs, this weekend is the last chance to leave a lasting impression.
Clemson has a chance to shine for the College Football Playoff Committee. Virginia Tech (and possibly even North Carolina) will have a chance for an ACC Championship Game berth. For teams like Florida State, Miami or Pittsburgh, it’s a chance to qualify for a higher-tier bowl game — a chance to play against better opponents in the postseason.
High stakes aren’t limited to the top of the ACC. Boston College, the last-place team in the Atlantic Division, would clinch bowl eligibility with a win over Wake Forest on Saturday.
