Foster, a 6-foot-5 lead ball handler from Oak Hill Academy, ranks as the No. 3 point guard in the 2023 class, per 247 Sports.
Duke assistant coach Nolan Smith, who played at Oak Hill in the early 2000s, led the program’s recruitment of Foster. In the end, Foster picked Duke over a host of other programs, including Illinois, Stanford and Louisville.
Foster brings good size to the point guard position. He’s a smooth processor, too, capable of orchestrating an offense and running pick-and-roll.
