Wide receiver Anthony Autry and defensive linemen Darius Commissiong and Travin Henry have been dismissed from Georgia Tech’s football team for violating the Athletic Association’s student-athlete code of conduct, the school announced Tuesday. All three players were already suspended for the first two games of the season after code of conduct violations earlier in the offseason.
In addition, cornerback Lynn Griffin has been given a two-game suspension.
Autry logged three starts as a true freshman in 2012 but missed last season with a knee injury. Henry, who had also been plagued by injuries during his short career, converted from wide receiver to defensive end this offseason, and Commissiong redshirted last year as a true freshman. Griffin is in line to start in the Yellow Jackets’ defensive backfield this season.
Georgia Tech opens the season against Wofford on Aug. 30 and travels to Tulane on Sept. 6.
