Georgia Tech offensive tackle Chase Roberts, who was listed as the No. 2 left tackle on the Yellow Jackets’ post-spring depth chart, has been medically disqualified. The redshirt sophomore played in eight games last season and made three starts before suffering a concussion against Clemson and missing the final three contests of the year. Despite his football career coming to an end, he will remain on scholarship at Georgia Tech.
With Roberts gone, redshirt freshman Chris Griffin is the clear front-runner to see the majority of the snaps at left tackle. Junior Bryan Chamberlain will man the other tackle spot with Errin Joe also seeing some action.
