Buford, Georgia, athlete Xavier Gantt can’t wait to play his college football at Georgia Tech. Before he does, however, the 5-10, 170-pound athlete has some unfinished business to take care of.
Gantt recently spoke with ACCSports.com about his early commitment to Georgia Tech, his ability to recruit, his feelings toward the Georgia Bulldogs and the position he’s being recruited to play for the Ramblin’ Wreck.
“I’m glad I got (my commitment) out of the way so I don’t have to worry about it toward the end of my high school career like a lot of people I know have done,” he said.
One benefit to committing early — in Gantt’s case, the decision to commit came in February — is it gives prospects time to lure other recruits to join them.
