Former Georgia Tech B-back begins coaching career

Two years ago, David Sims led Georgia Tech in rushing yards with 884 and touchdowns with 11. This fall, he’ll begin his coaching career as an assistant at the college level.

According to the Rome News-Tribune, Sims will coach fullbacks and quarterbacks at Shorter University this season. The school’s football program competes at the Division II level.

Sims played for the Yellow Jackets from 2009-13. He is tied for seventh in Georgia Tech history with 23 rushing touchdowns.
