Georgia Tech defensive lineman Darius Commissiong has been suspended for the team’s first two games of the 2014 season for violating student-athlete conduct policy, the school announced Friday. The redshirt freshman is expected to be a reserve defensive tackle this season.
The Yellow Jackets will play their opener on Aug. 30 against Wofford before traveling to Tulane on Sept. 6. Earlier in the spring, it was announced that running back Dennis Andrews and receivers Darren Waller and Anthony Autry will also sit out the first two contests of the year.
