Florida State, Miami Picked To Win Divisions

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The ACC media voted Florida State as the preseason pick to win the ACC Championship. The voters chose the Seminoles nearly unanimously, with only Clemson and Virginia Tech receiving two votes each, while Florida State was picked as the winner on 104 ballots. Accordingly, Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston was overwhelmingly chosen as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year, receiving 99 of the 108 votes.

Voting was closer in the Coastal Division, where every team except Virginia received at least one first place vote. Duke was selected to finish first on the most ballots, but Miami received the most points and was picked as the favorite to win the division.
