2016 vs. 2012: Which FSU class is better?

After falling to Georgia Tech and Clemson, there won’t be any College Football Playoff or national championship opportunity for Florida State this season. There won’t even be a shot at the ACC Championship Game for FSU this fall, as for the first time since 2011, the Seminoles have given up the Atlantic Division crown to Clemson.

The question now on the minds of many FSU fans, who were prepared for the possibility of a rebuilding season in 2015 after a national championship in 2013 and a College Football Playoff appearance in 2014, is whether or not the returning Seminole players, along with another highly-touted freshman class, can lift the program back into the NCAA title conversation in 2016.

Jimbo Fisher and his assistants are currently putting the finishing touches on one of America’s top signing classes for 2016. Even after the recent decommitment of defensive tackle pledge Keir Thomas of Miami, the Seminoles still have 17 pledges on board.
