Duke hosted a large number of recruits for Saturday’s regular season finale against UNC. Included in the group were Jalil Okafor and Justice Winslow, who have already signed with Duke for next season. The pair were trying to help convince a large number of uncomitted prospects to join them in Durham.
Current high school sophomores Harry Giles (6-foot-9 PF, Winston Salem, NC), Dennis Smith Jr. (6-2 PG, Fayetteville, NC), and Josh Langford (6-5 SG, Huntsville, AL) were in attendance, along with high school senior Myles Turner (6-10 C, Euless, TX).
Duke may have made its best impression on a pair of prospects from the Class of 2016, however. Luke Kennard, a 6-foot-5 five-star shooting guard out of Franklin, Ohio, and Chase Jeter, a 6-10 five-star power forward from Las Vegas both started the game sitting behind the Duke bench, although they seemed to have trouble staying out of the action.
Chase Jeter and Luke Kennard are basically in Duke’s huddle.
