Duke football added a pair of non-conference games to future schedules.
The Blue Devils will play a home-and-home series with Charlotte, a relative newcomer to Division I football who is in its third season at that level.
Duke will play a home game against Charlotte at Wallace Wade Stadium in 2020. The game joins a road trip to Notre Dame and a home tilt with Middle Tennessee as non-conference games locked in for that season. There’s one more slot available for a non-conference opponent.
Duke will travel to Charlotte the following year, a road game that makes sense from a recruiting standpoint, since the Blue Devils are often in pursuit of elite Charlotte area prospects.
The road game at Charlotte is currently the only non-conference game booked for 2021.
