While the rest of the nation’s college basketball teams started practice on Sept. 25, Duke was among the few that resumed practice with its new team.
The Blue Devils practiced in August in conjunction with their NCAA-allowed foreign trip to Canada where they won three exhibition games against Canadian university teams.
That trip allowed Duke’s players and coaches to get acquainted with each other long before the season normally starts.
Still the Blue Devils have plenty more to accomplish now that they are practicing again in preparation for their Nov. 6 season-opening game against Kentucky at the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.
