Jazian Gortman, one of the top guards in the 2022 recruiting class, is now projected to avoid college basketball all together.
According to the latest Crystal Ball projection for Gortman at 247 Sports by Eric Bossi, Gortman will likely opt to go the professional route. (Overtime Elite seems like a very real possibility.)
The 6-foot-1 Gortman is a 5-star prospect in the 2022 class; he’s a top-10 player in the class and arguably its No. 1 point guard.
If Gortman decided to play college ball, Florida State would likely be the leading candidate; he took an official visit to the campus in June. However, multiple ACC program were high on Gortman, including Wake Forest and Miami. Gortman, who is from South Carolina, also visited Wake Forest.
