For Buzz Williams and the Virginia Tech Hokies, securing a commitment from four-star forward Lander Nolley out of Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn (GA) was a really big deal.
Nolley is rated a top-100 prospect by virtually every recruiting service and a player that looked to be out of reach. Not only was he considering the likes of Connecticut, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Illinois among others, but he had given an oral pledge to Georgia on October 7th.
