Charlie Symonds is a massive offensive tackle prospect: standing 6-foot-6, weighing 285 pounds. He plays his prep ball for Watertown (Conn.) The Taft School, ranking as the No. 4 prospect in the state of Connecticut, per 247 Sports.
There’s a legacy component to his recruitment, too. His father, Toby Symonds, was a kicker for NC State from 1989-90. Now, the young Symonds will follow in his father’s footsteps, picking the Pack over offers from Boston College (an offensive line development factory), Virginia, Stanford, Michigan State and California.
