Just over two weeks after announcing his commitment to Duke, 2017 wide receiver Gavin Holmes reopened his commitment. He announced the news via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday:

A native of Justin, Texas, Holmes is ranked the No. 152 wideout in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. Before pledging to the Blue Devils last month, he claimed offers from Iowa, Kansas, Utah Wisconsin and others.
Holmes is the second player to decommit from Duke in the last two months. In May, consensus 4-star linebacker Ellis Brooks reopened his recruitment after originally pledging to the Devils in March.
With Holmes no longer on board, Duke has 12 players committed to its 2017 group.
