Devils add commitment, stocking up on RB talent

Duke continued its practice of stockpiling running backs to maintain its desired depth on Friday.

Three-star back Deon Jackson of Pace Academy in Atlanta announced he has committed to play for the Blue Devils beginning in 2017.

Jackson had more than 30 scholarship offers, including ACC schools Louisville, NC State, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Virginia Tech, in addition to Duke. He also had SEC offers from South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Missouri.

The rising senior impressed Duke’s coaching staff during his camp visit in June and became a top priority.

Where will Jackson fit in with the rest of the Blue Devils’ running backs when he arrives next year? To find out for free, sign up for basic access to ACCSports.com.
