Duke’s 2017 football recruiting class grew to four members on Thursday when rising senior tight end Jake Marwede committed to the Blue Devils. The 6-5, 238-pound prospect announced the news via social media:

A native of Wilmette, Illinois, Marwede plays his prep ball at Loyola Academy. He is rated the No. 21 tight end in his class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Marwede also claimed offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and others. He joins linebacker Ellis Brooks, running back Marvin Hubbard and wide receiver Damond Johnson in Duke’s 2017 class.
