Florida State added one of the top players in the NCAA transfer portal: defensive tackle Fabien Lovett from Mississippi State. Lovett was critical recently of Mike Leach, the new Mississippi State coach on Twitter; shortly after that, he entered the transfer portal (April 3).
A former 3-star prospect in the 2018 class, Lovett played in two games during the 2018 season; he ultimately took a redshirt that season, though.
During his second season with Mississippi State, the 6-foot-4, 315-pound Lovett appeared in 13 games, recording 19 tackles, including 2.5 for loss.
Okay, what Norvell is building is special.
When will FSU be ACC champs again?

Along with FSU, several other power programs chased Lovett after he entered the portal, too: Florida, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee and Ole Miss.
