Nick Farrar, a member of NC State’s 2020 recruiting class, will enter the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Farrar was a 3-star prospect from Apex (NC) Friendship. As a freshman, though, Farrar played in only seven games: 23 total minutes and five points. Among other things, Farrar dealt with injuries during the 2020-21 season.

Farrar was the first player to commit in NC State’s 2020 class. As a prep player, he also held offers from Cincinnati, LSU, Rutgers and Texas A&M.
Farrar is the second NC State player to leave the program this week. On Tuesday, veteran combo guard Braxton Beverly announced his commitment to Eastern Kentucky.
