Earlier this week (June 26), North Carolina landed a commitment from in-state running back DJ Jones, a 3-star prospect from Fayetteville. Inside Carolina was the first to report the commitment, though Jones did make the announcement on his personal Twitter page.
247 Sports rates Jones as a top-25 prospect for the state of North Carolina and the No. 39 running back in the 2020 class. UNC lands Jones over offers from Michigan and Duke. Over the last three weeks, Jones made visits to East Carolina, UNC and Michigan (official).
