Florida State running back Mario Pender has been dismissed from the team, the school announced Saturday.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, “Pender was jailed Saturday on complaints of domestic battery by strangulation and resisting an officer without violence.”
As a junior in 2015, Pender rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on 30 attempts. He played three games last fall before missing the rest of the year with pneumothorax.
