Duke football can make an early statement in 2016

Duke opens the 2016 season with a chance to make some noise early. After the Blue Devils start the year with a cupcake, how they perform in their next three contests will go a long way in determining whether or not they can post their fourth straight eight-win season.

Here’s how it opens up:

Sept. 3 – North Carolina Central

Sept. 10 – Wake Forest

Sept. 17 – at Northwestern

Sept. 24 – at Notre Dame
