UNC landed one of the top quarterbacks on the transfer market over the weekend.
Brandon Harris, a former 4-star recruit who started at least parts of three seasons at LSU, committed to UNC on Sunday following an official visit. His commitment helps solidify the Tar Heels at quarterback coming off the loss of NFL-bound Mitch Trubisky.
This spring, the Tar Heels have been rotating a trio of passers. Sophomore Nathan Elliott and redshirt freshmen Chazz Surratt and Logan Byrd are all battling for the team’s starting job. Only Elliott has game experience, completing eight of nine passes for 55 yards in 2016.
