Despite knee injury, Duke’s Jack Wohlabaugh to return for 2021 season

Duke football suffered a significant setback last week when veteran starting center Jack Wohlabaugh tore his right ACL, requiring surgery. The procedure will end Wohlabaugh’s redshirt senior season before it even starts. The injury occurred during a fall camp practice.

However, instead of calling it a close on his career and perhaps getting ready for the NFL, Wohlabaugh announced on Twitter than he plans to return for the 2021 season at Duke.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound center spent two seasons at Ohio State (2016-17) before transferring to Duke (Jan 2018). An Honorable Mention All-ACC selection in last season, Wohlabaugh has seen action in 22 games (1,477 snaps) — making 18 starts. Wohlabaugh was one of four returning starters along the offensive line for the Blue Devils.
