On Monday, Duke University announced the hiring of its new radio play-by-play announcer: David Shumate.
Shumate will replace the legendary Bob Harris, who called Duke games for 41 years.

Duke’s newest hire will have the official title of Director of Broadcasting for the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network.
Later that afternoon, Shumate stopped by The David Glenn Show to talk about interviewing with Mike Krzyzewski, which talents he brings to the table and the first person he called after landing the job.
