Breon Pass will stay in-state: the 3-star guard from Reidsville commits to NC State.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Pass, one of the top guards in the 2021 recruiting class, picked NC State over Georgia Tech, East Carolina and Providence. 247 Sports ranks Pass as the No. 6 overall prospect in North Carolina and the No. 12 combo guard in 2021.

During his prep career, Pass built a profile as a strong football prospect, too; 247 Sports has Pass slotted as a top-30 football prospect in North Carolina. Pass initially considered working as a dual-sport athlete in college; however, Pass has decided instead to focus on basketball, specifically.
Early in the recruiting process, NC State coaches Kevin Keatts and James Johnson developed a relationship with Pass.
NC State now has a three-man 2021 class. That started 4-star guard Terquavion Smith’s commitment back in Feb. 2019; next up was 4-star power forward Ernest Ross, a top-50 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting class, in April 2020.
Congrats to Breon Pass on committing to NC State. Started to gain some buzz this summer playing with Tea Marie and well deserved. Love the combo of athleticism(good football recruit) and really great touch w/ high ceiling as a shooter. https://t.co/4ikzAnSsby
