There’s no bigger month on the recruiting calendar for basketball coaches than July. All of the premier programs will be out on the road during the live period, attending some of the major summer tournaments such as the Nike Peach Jam and many more.
For Buzz Williams and the Virginia Tech Hokies, it can’t be overstated how pivotal the time is to add talent in hopes of continuing to move up the ladder in the ultra-competitive ACC.
Currently, the Hokies have one commitment in the class of 2018 from 6-foot-3 shooting guard Jarren McAllister, a three-star prospect out of Heritage High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
