North Carolina’s depth chart took a major hit over the weekend when receiver Mack Hollins went down for the season. On Thursday, UNC announced that two more key contributors will miss the remainder of 2016.
Starting right guard Caleb Peterson, who missed each the team’s last two games, will undergo back surgery on Friday. The injury ends the senior’s career. In addition, true freshman linebacker Jonathan Smith suffered a broken foot against Virginia Tech and will miss the rest of the year.
