Duke sophomore guard Grayson Allen underwent successful inguinal hernia repair surgery Friday at Duke University Hospital.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Theodore N. Pappas, gastrointestinal surgeon at Duke University Medical Center. Typical recovery time for the procedure is four weeks.
Named an All-American by The Sporting News, the Associated Press and NABC in 2016, Allen led Duke in both scoring (21.6 points per game) and assists (3.5 per game) as a sophomore. He also earned second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 2016.
