Frasor on Bloody Hansbrough Game: ‘I wish I’d speared Henderson’

With UNC and Duke meeting in Cameron Indoor Stadium in two days, former Tar Heel guard Bobby Frasor made a Thursday appearance on The David Glenn Show. During the conversation, Frasor talked about what it was like playing the Blue Devils on the road, Tyler Hansbrough’s approach to the rivalry and his senior night against Duke.

When asked about the infamous “Bloody Hansbrough” game in 2007, Frasor half-jokingly said he wishes he’d reacted differently after a hard foul from Gerald Henderson left Hansbrough with a broken nose.

“I remember Coach (Steve) Robinson, one of our assistant coaches, kind of upset that nobody really did anything,” Frasor stated. “It happened so quick, but I wish I’d speared Henderson and tackled him into the media, into the cameras. Something legendary like that would have been replayed over and over and over every year on TV. Something like Mighty Ducks, the Bash Brothers. Something insane.”
