DURHAM, N.C. — Mike Krzyzewski’s swan song as the U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team coach at the Rio Olympics this summer will not be the beginning of the end of his Duke career.
On Monday, Duke athletics director Kevin White told the Durham Herald-Sun newspaper that he expects the 69-year-old Krzyzewski to coach the Blue Devils another five years at a minimum.
“Given his unparalleled passion for leadership and the sport of basketball,” White said, “it would not surprise me at all if Mike coaches beyond that contact. This is who this guy is and this is what he does.”
